Gender Empowerment Collective
The Brandon University Gender Empowerment Collective is a pro- choice, queer- positive and feminist student run group. We stand against sexism, racism, homophobia and discrimination against culture and sexuality. The Gender Empowerment Collective respects all people and exists to serve the needs of all self- identified women, trans people and gender queer individuals on campus.
Our goal is to act as a resource base for understanding, exposing and bringing awareness on issues around gender violence and social justice. The Gender Empowerment Collective advocates on issues such as, but is not limited to, sexism, racism, homophobia, transphobia and violence. We maintain a functioning resource centre on campus where we offer free tampons, pads, condoms, pregnancy tests, peer support and more
