Advocacy

We are here to help you with grade and performance appeals, offer advice, connect you to resources, and inform you about academic regulations.

BUSU is here for you and we will do our best to represent you and ensure your rights as a student are honoured.

What do I need to do if I need assistance?

1. The first step is to book an appointment with the Services Coordinator to discuss your concerns.  The Services Coordinator can help prepare you to discuss your concerns with your professor and head of the department.

2. The second step is to discuss your concerns directly with your professor or instructor, often this discussion may lead to a suitable outcome.

3. If you are not happy with the outcome, you can also discuss the matter with the head of the department or department chair.

4. After pursuing these discussions, if you are still not satisfied with the outcome, the Services Coordinator can assist you with the appeal process to the Student Appeals Committee.
